Hi, I’m Lauren O’Connell, the founder and CEO of 3 of Cups, and a breast cancer survivor.
I started dreaming up 3 of Cups before cancer ever entered the picture. I knew I wanted to create a beauty brand rooted in intention, ingredient integrity, and my own magic.
During chemo, when my mind, body and soul felt pushed to their limits, my first formula came to life. In a strange way, my breast cancer journey gave me clarity and pushed me to create something that’s unlike anything that’s ever come across my beauty desk or into my hands.
3 of Cups is my phoenix. With my sun in Scorpio, the phoenix is part of my cosmic DNA. 3 of Cups rose from the ashes of one of the toughest times in my life. It alchemized my grief and healing into a soaring energy of power, transformation, and beauty.
I’m a science girl at heart with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Nursing. My true obsession though has always been beauty and skincare. I’ve spent years decoding ingredient labels and sharing what actually works as a content creator. I’m also the Beauty Editor at Cosmopolitan Middle East.
I’ve poured every part of my being into 3 of Cups and I’ve consciously created a science-backed, high-vibrational brand valued on skin-loving ingredients, product performance, efficacy. I even had a manufacturer drop me because I was “too picky”. I took it as a compliment!
None of us escape life without trials and tribulations. 3 of Cups is proof that something beautiful can bloom even in our toughest season.
